Discover the hidden technology of the largest private 110m long-time superyacht ever built
Yacht design, a challenge for hundreds of men
This project was a technical challenge for the Oceanco shipyard, as it is the longest boat ever out of their hangar, and the largest private yacht ever built in Holland.
Ultra-equipped, and ultra-connected, the Jubilee yacht was delivered shortly before the Monaco yacht Show 2017, or it was more than noticed.
The complex and intuitive installation of Icon Connect, a London and Monegasque company specializing in the integration of technological solutions, required more than 3 years of work: upstream, for infrastructure development, and downstream, for The installation.
The yacht embarks today 287 loudspeakers, 45 iPad control, 71 amplifiers, 52 processors, and 84 TVs.
What not to be bored!
What is an integrator?
Far from the technologies of the early years 2000, the work of integrators is now focused on the comfort of users, and the aesthetics of installations.
An integrator, will drive different technologies, different systems, in order to keep control and use simple and intuitive.
This expertise extends from the computer domain, now the basis of any installation, up to the audio video, as well as lighting control, blinds, and air conditioning.
The interest of the projects lies above all in the simplicity of use, a pressure on a switch and you open your blinds, turn on the lights, as you would manually when arriving at your home.
Are you leaving? An “all off” button will turn off all of your home, to make sure you have forgotten anything.
The functions of energy saving are also increasingly at the heart of the projects: manage the blinds so that the sun does not go directly inside in order to limit the inputs of heat, or conversely, to program them to let the Maximum light, all this is possible, and once again very simple.
Aesthetics is also one of the primary concerns of architects. It is a matter of concealing as much as possible domestic technology and for that there are many solutions.
For example, conceal the TV boxes in the computer case so that no cables are visible around the screen. Even problematic for the music: to want the sound of ambience without having visible speakers is possible with invisible speakers housed in the cornices like that of the manufacturer VISMES.
Icon Connect, specialist and precursor:
“Our willingness to develop new sectors such as luxury hotels, and new partnerships with renowned designers, such as Valérie Barth, will allow us to significantly increase our presence in the French market, and to satisfy Still more customers. »
How do you mix design and technology with your home?
As a general rule, integrators must be approached well upstream of construction or renovation projects. This makes it possible to have more flexibility, in particular by drawing the most complete cabling available so as not to limit future extensions.
To insert last-technology audio systems and add a touch of design, Valérie Barth had a heart-blow on the Bang and Olufsen Beosound shape system.
The BeoSound Shape is a wall mounted cordless speaker composition that fits into your décor. It offers immersive acoustic diffusion, a design to compose and integrated noise dampers to improve overall acoustics.
Unlike any other speaker system, it is possible to determine the size, shape, color and even the sound performance. The concept of modular forms at the origin of the BeoSound Shape is based on the hexagon.
Each tile fills a function, sometimes pregnant, sometimes amplifier, or acoustic shock absorber. All can be assembled according to a multitude of combinations and sizes that will fit as well in small as large parts.
The BeoSound Shape is a highly flexible speaker system that can grow and evolve according to your lifestyle. You can change the modules to form a new pattern, change the tones when redecorating the part, or add other modules to enhance the sound performance or acoustic damping properties of your structure.
Very chic and very technological!
